DAY 02 After
breakfast, drive to Pamayangtse. Walk up to
the ruins of the old capital of Rabdantse,
and take a tour of the Pamayangtse
Monastery. Drive 24 Kms ( 01.30 hrs) to the
holy Khechepheri Lake. Continue the journey
for another 30 Kms ( 1.30 hrs) to reach
Yuksom. Check in at your hotel in time for
lunch.. In the evening take a walk to the
Yuksam Coronation site, - a simple stone
bench, where the three monks appointed the
first king of Sikkim. Visit the nearby Ani
Gompa {Buddhist nunnery). Overnight at
Yoksom. |
